Take me for instance, I wrote a whole series last year about Venus. I wrote about her retrograde recently and now that she’s out of the retrograde’s shadow, I’m writing about her again. The irony is that I have the most benighted (is that the same as cursed?) Venus in my chart. By sign, by house, and even by aspect, damn it! Okay, it does conjunct my Mercury and yeah, I love that, but that’s it for something good. I swear!
On another note, astrologers look at the ephemeris and predict events. I know people like that and they’re very good. Me? I look at the events around me and pick up the ephemeris. I did that today and saw that Venus is at 15 Scorpio; she came out of her retrograde shadow on 20-Dec-2011. You see any thematic connections or thematic unfolding happening now that is related to what happened during the recent retrograde? If your retrograde was eventful, then this is another act in the same play. Action moves forward.
I was reading Barbara Hand Clow’s Liquid Light of Sex last night and in it, while talking about the crown chakra, she tells of a story she learnt from her Mayan teachers and her Cherokee grandfather. It’s God talking about why he created us, mankind. It’s wonderfully written, powerfully evocative, thrilling and I think it might also be healing to read it, to feel it, to imagine it.
So now as Chiron starts slowly separating from Neptune and begins to move through the last three degrees of Aquarius, I think of God and why we’re here anyways. Let’s face it, this Earth-space-time-continuum thing, it isn’t for sissies. Tell yourself that if you have planets on the last three degrees of any fixed sign and transiting Chiron is making exact aspects as it moves. Do me a favor and look at your progressed chart, too. If it’s making aspects there, those are going to be felt powerfully as well.
Cry you tears as the wounded healer moves through the skies and through your spirit and remember you are the result of God’s deep desire to feel. Anything and everything that you feel is your greatest gift to God. It is also the one sole aim of the Earth reincarnation. Just that. To feel. Nothing more. Nothing less. Embrace your feelings. Your soul has seasons. And if it’s desolate and bleak now, then know that spring is next.
We’re wounded, all of us and we’re surrounded by the wounded. But if there’s anything I have learnt it’s the resilience of the human spirit. Mine has surprised me as much as anyone else’s. And I think it will continue to surprise and gladden me for as long as I live in this reincarnation. What a thrill!
I recently bought some astrology e-books written by Tom Jacobs. The one I really want to tell you about is, “Chiron, 2012, and the Aquarian Age: The Key and How to Use It.” I have never come across such a comprehensive and useful book on Chiron before. He covers it by sign, by house, by aspect and talks about progressions to Chiron, Chiron transits and the Chiron return. I recommend all his books, but if there is one you absolutely must have it is this one. There is nothing like it anywhere. And believe me, I know. I’ve been looking. For years. Here’s the link to his page: http://tdjacobs.com/store.html#books
Oh! And I finally created an astrology page on Facebook. I share brief observations there that I don’t put on this blog and I use it as a space for sharing links of my favorite astrologer writers and other links of interest. So if you’re on Facebook and want to check it out, here’s the URL: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Astrology-Expressed/124729850924536
“Your soul has seasons. And if it’s desolate and bleak now, then know that spring is next.” Lovely Neeti 🙂
Thanks for the book recommendation on Chiron. I’ll definately check that out!
Thank you, O Portuguese Rose! And I hope you enjoy the book. xxx

Funny, tha first time I read it I misread it as: “Your soul has reasons. ” There must be a reason for that 🙂
Love your post Neety. As always. Figures of speech? I love them too.
And… tell me about Venus. Mine is opposing my Moon and my Pluto. Which means that it is opposing the Pluto of any man from my generation. And on top of everything it is in Aries and I am a Pisces sign – that’s not an easy match. Oh, yes and the Moon – Venus opposition is along the nodal axis.
But as I said in the beginnig there must be a reason for that. The soul has its reasons.
I love the way you read it, “The soul has reasons.”
About our “reasons” and our charts, oh what can we do, Helen, but laugh? Or wistfully think of what Omar Khayyam said,
“Ah Love! could thou and I with Fate conspire
To grasp this sorry Scheme of Things entire,
Would not we shatter it to bits — and then
Re-mould it nearer to the Heart’s Desire!”
Incidentally, my dear friend, the promised book is still with me and still to be posted. But I’m gaining on my to-do list and it shall be done.
Much love. xxx
Thanks. Both for the poem and the re-assurance.
